This Privacy Policy describes how Localith collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the platform at localith.ai.

Data we collect
- Account information — When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and organization details. If you connect a Google account, we access your Google Business Profile data as authorized by you.
- Usage data — We collect information about how you use the platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken. This helps us improve the product.
- Device and browser data — Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, and device type. This is used for security, debugging, and analytics.
How we use your data
- To provide and operate the Localith platform, including managing your Google Business Profiles, generating AI review replies, and producing analytics reports.
- To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests.
- To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymized usage analytics.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting infrastructure, email delivery, and payment processing.
When you connect your Google account, data flows between Localith and Google according to Google's API Terms of Service. Localith accesses only the data you authorize.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the platform.
Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. You can also object to or restrict certain processing activities.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@localith.ai. We will respond within 30 days.
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Data security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.
Localith Google Workspace Add-on
This section describes how the Localith Reviews Sync add-on for Google Workspace handles your data. It applies only when you install and use the Localith add-on within Google Sheets.
Data we access
When you use the Localith Reviews Sync add-on, it requests the following permissions from your Google account:
- View and manage spreadsheets that this application has been installed in (
spreadsheets.currentonly) — used solely to write your Localith review data into the active Google Sheet you have open. The add-on cannot access any other spreadsheet in your Google Drive. - Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications (
script.container.ui) — used to display the add-on's user interface (the sidebar where you connect your account and choose what to sync). - Connect to an external service (
script.external_request) — used solely to communicate with the Localith API to retrieve your reviews and listings data. - Allow this application to access user-set application locale (
script.locale) — used to display the add-on interface in your preferred language.
Data we collect and store
The Localith add-on:
- Does not transmit your spreadsheet content to Localith servers. All data written to your sheet stays in your Google account.
- Does not store the contents of your spreadsheets on Localith servers at any time.
- Stores your Localith API key only in Google's per-user property storage (
PropertiesService.getUserProperties), which is encrypted at rest by Google and accessible only to your own Google account. This API key is transmitted to Localith only for authentication and is never stored on Localith servers.
The data the add-on retrieves from the Localith API (your reviews, listings, and metrics) is data you have already provided to Localith through your Localith account, governed by the rest of this Privacy Policy.
How we use your data
The data accessed by the add-on is used solely to provide the syncing functionality you have requested — pulling your Localith review data into the Google Sheet you select. We do not use add-on data for any other purpose, including advertising, profiling, or sharing with third parties.
Compliance with Google API Services User Data Policy
The Localith Google Workspace Add-on's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data retention and deletion
- Your Localith API key is stored on Google's servers (in your account) until you choose to disconnect from the add-on, at which point it is deleted.
- You can disconnect the add-on at any time by opening the sidebar and clicking "Disconnect" or by uninstalling the add-on from your Google account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
